Situated along Old Lynchburg Road, The 8,000 - 10,000 square foot Women’s Center (WC) serves women grappling with alcohol or substance use disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions. The WC provides 8-12 single room occupancy units, thoughtfully furnished to accommodate women and up to two of their children. This arrangement empowers women to embark on their journey to recovery while maintaining their familial connections.

As the Women’s Center is a residential treatment facility, the design prioritizes a warm and inviting atmosphere, offering a sense of familiarity and comfort to its residents through both its architectural form and choice of materials. The one-story structure's scale is skillfully adapted to a domestic context, characterized by repeating modules reminiscent of traditional residential architecture.
