Located on Old Lynchburg Road, The 8,000 - 10,000 square foot Women’s Center (WC) will serve women who have an alcohol or other drug use disorder and/or co-occurring substance use and mental health disorder.

The WC will provide 8-12 single room occupancy units equipped for women and up to two children, allowing women to keep their families intact while working towards recovery.

As the Women’s Center is a residential treatment facility, the design incorporates features that create a sense of familiarity and comfort for the resident in both form and material. The scale of the one-story facility is broken down to a residential scale through the repeating modules of vernacular forms of residential architecture.
